Investment Portfolio Analysis and Recommendations:
3 - 7 hours

Usually, our clients receive investment portfolio analysis and recommendations as a part of their financial plan (see above). However, we do provide this service as a stand-alone project. The fee estimate varies depending on the number and types of accounts and complexity of holdings. A fee-estimate based on your specific need is provided at the Get Acquainted Meeting.

We will provide a detailed analysis of your portfolio with specific recommendations. We provide you with investment recommendations that you can implement on your own.

Employer Provided Retirement Plan Investment Recommendations: 2 - 4 hours

Includes 401(k), 403(b), Simple IRA, 457, and SEP IRA plans.
We provide investment recommendations using suitable investment options available in your employer provided retirement plan accounts.

The above fee information is for general reference purposes only. A signed and dated Client Service Agreement is the only official source of fee estimate quotes and the only binding offer for service recognized by Dillon Financial Planning. Actual fee estimates may differ due to specific client needs.
Our Fees

Dillon Financial Planning is a fee-only financial planning firm, which means that we accept no commissions, referral fees, or other third-party incentives based on any products that we may recommend to you. We make every effort to be transparent and up-front about the cost of financial planning.

When we give you a quote for financial planning, it is based on our estimate of the time required for the project at a rate of $180 per hour. We will provide a fee estimate range at our Get Acquainted Meeting (which is free). You won't be charged any additional hourly fees beyond the fee estimate as long as we stay within the original scope of the project. You only pay for the time it actually takes and there are no surprises at the end.

Below are some examples of financial planning and advisory projects and the range of hours it may take to complete them. A project can be as comprehensive as a full financial plan or as specific as a particular task.

Financial Plan: 7 - 14 hours

Our most popular service, a financial plan provides you with a roadmap to fulfill your most valued goals and objectives. We consider it to be the best way to protect against unforeseen financial consequences and to maximize your financial opportunities. Clients often think that they have everything well covered, but may have significant inefficiencies or have missed some issues entirely. Above all, your plan will give you peace of mind in knowing that you're on track for a successful retirement. It will answer the question, "Am I OK?".
Below are elements of our financial planning process. A fee estimate, based on your specific needs, will be provided at the Get Acquainted Meeting.
  • Data collection and processing
  • Cash Flow analysis and planning, if needed
  • Retirement planning, including retirement back testing using historical returns, stress     testing, and projections
  • Education funding
  • Investment Analysis and recommendations
  • Review of basic insurance and estate planning needs/issues
  • Interim Planning Session
  • Final updates, analysis, and plan completion
  • Plan Presentation Meeting
  • Questions on your plan for up to one month (does not include additional scenarios or projections)
Annual Financial check-ups are essential to keep your plan on track and your portfolio balanced. The fee for an annual check-up is typically 50% of the initial engagement.
